MY NAME IS LUKE DAY AND I HAVE ENJOYED CARVING WOOD MY WHOLE LIFE AND CREATING WORKS OF ART FOR OVER 35 YEARS
MY UNCLE AND I CREATED THIS BUSINESS OVER A DECADE AGO SO I CAN SHARE MY TALENT WITH EVERYONE.
I HAVE MET SOME AMAZING PEOPLE AND HAVE HELPED THEM CREATE SOMETHING SPECIAL FROM A TREE THEIR GRANDFATHER CLIMBED AS A BOY
TO ENGRAVING A SCRIPTURE IN A PIECE OF OAK TO HANG OVER THE FAMILY’S FIREPLACE.

My grandparents came to this area and founded Nederland in the 1800s and I have lived here my whole life. When a giant oak tree that they planted fell in the front yard, I ask Luke to carve the Nederland bulldog mascot from the stump. He carved an amazing bulldog puppy to represent “new life” and people stop by all the time to take photos. Thank you for your talent!

I recently had some good friends of mine lose their daughter and I contacted Luke to make something I can give to them to show my sympathy. He carved a heart with her dates engraved on it and some beautiful angel wings attached. I cant thank him enough!

I am the one Luke carved the lighthouse for and I can’t tell you how proud I am of it! Luke traveled around 30 miles each day and figured out a way to get 10 foot up in my tree to make the carving. We still try and keep in touch with him because he is such a great guy!

I recently had a pool put in and contacted Luke to carve me a pelican to go by it. He carved it from a telephone pole so I know it will last a very long time and it looks great next to the water!

I had a large tree fall from a hurricane like so many others and I wanted a large cross made out of it with the date of the storm engraved in it in roman numerals. Luke did everything he could to get me exactly what I was wanting!

I Had a carving of a duck that had its wing knocked off and Luke was not only able to recarve a new perfect wing but he also mounted it on a piece of driftwood with moss which I wasn’t expecting and it looks great!

I have a antique duck decoy that was missing its head and Luke was able to make it look original so I could give it to my husband, which is an avid duck hunter, for his birthday. Thank you so much!

I got Luke to carve to large pelicans from some logs I had. He worked with me on the price and had them done within a weeks time. I couldn’t believe it!

I own a local furniture restoration shop and I have called Luke numerous times to help me when I have a damaged piece with hand carvings on it. He surprises me at how he can repair the carving to where you would never know it was damaged! Thank you Luke!
